Liz Scott - BBC Radio Devon reporter

One of the best things about working for BBC Radio Devon is that I get the chance to travel over the county and to meet fascinating people and places.

Whether it's watching a 1920's fashion show on Bigbury Island or wading through the mud at a North Devon farm, I'm out most days soaking up the atmosphere of the county.

I've worked on the station for eight years in a variety of roles. I've been a Researcher, News Reporter, Outside Broadcaster, Producer and Features Reporter.

I'm happiest when I'm out on the road exploring Devon and meeting the people that live and work in the communities they love.

With the Roadshow I'm able to spend more time out and about hearing stories from the four corners of the county.

It's proving to be an opportunity to combine all the best things about my job.

Away from work I enjoy walking and have just started walking the South West Coast Path - I'm tackling it in stages and it'll take several years to complete.

I also love cycling and I've cycled Roscoff to Santander, Land's End to John O'Groats, through Ireland and Wales and more locally on Devon's Coast to Coast Route.

Peter Folland - Community Communications Officer
On the Roadshow Peter will be helping people to get started on a computer, sharing information about Devon County Council services, and driving the vehicle.

He enjoys meeting people and looks forward to welcoming you on board.

Peter joined Devon County Council to work on the Devon in Touch Roadshow.

In 1988, he completed training in rural resource management at Seale Hayne College near Newton Abbot.

Since then he has worked as a countryside ranger in Cornwall, Torbay, and Devon.

Peter lives in the countryside near Exeter; he is a keen gardener, and enjoys canoeing, cycling, and plays the guitar.
