This talent led to a joint lead role in the Perrier Award nominated live show Lee Mack's Bits (Edinburgh Festival and West End) before seeing Catherine cast as one of the new stars in the second series of the BBC Award winning sketch series Big Train and the BBC Choice cult sketch series TV Go Home.
In addition to this television success, Catherine became the star of the 2001 Edinburgh Festival with her self titled debut solo show - a dazzling, tour-de-force performance in which she showcased her stunning talent for character comedy and mimicry - portraying a diverse range of characters including a male drag act; a cantankerous old lady - and a drunken bride. The show sold out every single night at the Festival - and reprised this success with two barnstorming, sell out runs at the Soho Theatre in London in November 2001 and February 2002.
