Note: An adult will need to supervise this craft. Please be careful with scissors.
Squeeze paint into your washing up bottle, add a drop of water and some PVA glue.
Seal the lid tight, and shake! The paint coats the inside and makes it look like shiny car paint
Take three straws: two thin, one thick. Cut the thick straw in half.
To make your wheels, get your yoghurt pouch lids and squash some clay inside them. Repeat this so you have four wheels.
Thread your thin straw into the middle of your thick straw, then stick both ends of the thin straw into the clay on the end of your wheels. Do this again so you have your two sets of wheels.
Use sticky tape to secure the thick straw to the bottom of your bottle (lie the bottle flat first).
Time to decorate - use coloured card, sticky bobbles, toilet rolls or any other accessories to make your car look ready-to-race. Whether you put flames, glitter or stripes on your car, it'll look fantastic.
Take a ping pong ball and put clay on top to make a helmet. This is your driver's head! You can draw a face on the ball too.
Stick your driver on the car using tape or glue.
To make your car drive fast, it needs a launchpad! Cut some small pieces of cardboard and glue them together to make a stack. Do this twice.
Get a flat piece of cardboard and stick your two stacks on either end, with a big enough gap so your car can fit through.
Loop an elastic band over your stacks - you've made a car catapult. Place the car in front of the elastic band line, pull the elastic back and ping your car off the start line.
Ready, steady, race!
