Jest Magazine | Comedy Call Out
Deadline: Wednesday 30th September 2026
Jest is an all-new magazine for comedy writers and artists from or based in the North of England.
The team are seeking out short/micro plays, extracts from TV, film or radio scripts to feature in their first issue.
Jest Guidelines:
- You must be from or based in the North of England to submit
- It is free to enter
- Scripts are limited to 3 pages, and word limit is 1,200 max
- Bigoted or offensive content will not be accepted
- Make it funny, and get silly with it
Jest aims to provide those who submit with constructive feedback and shine a spotlight on their comedy on social media.
Send your work to jestmagazine@outlook.com with the subject line, ‘Jest Submission’ by the end of September.
Please include a writer bio, your connection to the North and any projects or events you would like to promote.
