Remember: you will be assessed on what you say and how well you say it.

The examiner will be listening out for different aspects of your performance. Think about the following points

  • How well do you pronounce individual sounds and use stress and intonation over longer stretches to convey meaning?
  • Is your grammar accurate for your level?
  • Do you use an appropriate range of vocabulary?
  • Can you maintain the flow of the discussion over a number of utterances and get your point across?
