ListenListen to the examiner
Arrow

Some candidates talk too much. Others don't say enough. If the examiner wants to start a different stage, of the test you may hear words like:-

  • "Fine"
  • "Good"
  • "Right"
  • "OK"
  • "Now"

So - listen carefully!

Tip
If the examiner asks you to compare and contrast two pictures, make sure you do that. Don't simply describe them.

Listening

ACTIVITY
listen to this candidate.

She is talking about her family.

Now talk about your family for just one minute.

Check your timing at the beginning and end of your presentation.
