Midfielder Cameron McGeehan and left-back Nesta Guinness-Walker have departed Northampton Town following the side's relegation to League Two.

Both players were offered new contracts in May but discussions were unsuccessful.

McGeehan scored 18 goals in 82 games for the Cobblers after joining on a free transfer in 2024, while Guinness-Walker made 72 appearances during his two-season stint.

"Both Nesta and Cam have been excellent servants to this club over the last two years and we part on good terms with both," new manager Chris Hogg told the club website., external

"We spoke with both players, but as discussions weren't aligned, we have taken the decision to move on."
