Derby County have re-signed midfielder Bobby Clark from RB Salzburg for a fee of about £6m, on a four-year deal.

The former England Under-20 international spent last season on loan at Derby, making 45 appearances in a campaign in which he earned the club's young player of the season award.

The permanent move back to English football comes less than two years after the 21-year-old left Premier League side Liverpool to join the Austrian club for close to £10m.

He made just 17 league appearances for Salzburg - all of which came in the 2024-25 season before he was sent on loan to the Rams.

Clark scored four goals and provided four assists across all competitions for John Eustace's Derby side that fell just short of a play-off place on the final day of the Championship season.

He has left RB Salzburg less than a week after Danny Rohl arrived from Scottish side Rangers to take over as manager.

In doing so, Clark has become the first summer addition to the Rams squad.
