Shrewsbury Town have signed defender Byron Pendleton on a two-year contract.

The 20-year-old right-back previously played for Salop boss Gavin Cowan in the second half of last season when the pair were at Brackley Town.

He began his career with Birmingham City, where he became captain of the club's under-21s side.

During his time at Blues, he had a loan spell with Yeovil Town in the first half of the last season and is now set for his first taste of league football with Shrewsbury.

Pendleton is the fourth new recruit so far this summer joining Arkell Jude-Boyd, Isaac Fletcher and Josh Davison.
