Who has been eliminated from the World Cup?

Of the 48 nations competing at the 2026 World Cup, 17have now been eliminated following the conclusion of the group stage.

From the first16 to exit, 12 finished bottom of their respective groups.

Czech Republic, Qatar, Haiti, Turkey, Curacao, Tunisia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jordan, Uzbekistan and Panama all finished as fourth-placed sides in the group.

Iran, South Korea, Scotland and Uruguay have also been knocked out as the four third-placed sides with the worst records in the group stage.

South Africa became the latest team to depart following their last 32 defeat to Canada.
