The 26-year-old, who can play in several positions, made 49 appearances for the Latics in his three-year stay, but was limited to just 15 appearances in 2025-2026.

The twin brother of Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon told the AFC Wimbledon website:, external "I thought it was the perfect opportunity to get myself going again and show what I'm about.

"It's a lovely stadium to come and play at. I can't wait to be out there with it full and the fans cheering."

Sessegnon has had spells with Fulham, Bristol City, Plymouth Argyle and Charlton Athletic.

Dons boss Johnnie Jackson said: "Steven's a really experienced signing that's played for some big clubs at this level and above.

"He comes to us with a point to prove - he wants to get back to playing regularly. He brings good versatility; he can play either side as a wing-back or as a full-back."
