Batter Whiteley to remain with Falcons

Batter Ross Whiteley will remain with the Derbyshire Falcons next season after signing a new one-year deal.
The big hitting 38-year-old is in his second spell with the club, having returned to the County Ground, after more than a decade away, in 2024.
Whiteley, who helped Worcestershire and Hampshire to T20 Blast titles in the time he had away from Derbyshire, made 20 appearances for the Falcons across both One-Day Cup and T20 Blast competitions in 2026.
He scored 169 runs and boasted a strike rate of nearly 112 in the 50-over game, while he managed 288 T20 runs at a rate of almost 163.
Derbyshire failed to get beyond the group stage of either white-ball competition last term.
