Winners: Norman Beaton Fellowship 2005 Winners


The 2005 Norman Beaton Fellowships have been awarded to:
AYESHA ANTOINE

DELROY BROWN
Ayesha came to the event via a Theatre Royal, Stratford workshop, and Delroy via a workshop hosted by the Nottingham Playhouse. Both join the Radio Drama Company on Saturday 23rd July, along with the Carleton Hobbs Bursary Award winners Ella Smith, Sophia Roberts, John Cummins and Nick Sayce.

This year, the judges awarded six runners-up prizes to NBF finalists. Their names and the theatres through whose workshops they joined NBF 2005 are below:
Rhea Bailey……West Yorkshire Playhouse
Lit Eziefula………West Yorkshire Playhouse
Natasha Godfrey…..Birmingham Repertory Theatre
Danielle Henry……..Contact Theatre Manchester
Simon Imrie………..Lyric Theatre, Belfast
Robert Softley…….Theatre Workshop, Edinburgh
Each of them will be cast via a freelance engagement in one of Radio Drama's 2005 summer/autumn/winter productions.

This year, fourteen theatres from around the UK joined forces with Radio Drama in workshopping talent new to Radio. 112 actors were workshopped from whom 12 finalists were auditioned on 13th April at Bush House by this year's judges who were Shabina Aslam (chair), Deborah Sathe, Sandra Boyce, Ben Onwukwe and Rebecca Wilmshurst.
