Ukrainians protest over sacking of defence minister

Weekend

Available for 29 days

Protests over the sacking of Mykhailo Fedorov took place in Kyiv for a second night. Fedorov is credited with pioneering Ukraine’s use of drones to carry out long range attacks on targets within Russia. We hear from the Ukrainian Defence Ministry’s anti-corruption chief. Also on the programme: we speak to the man who taught Andy Burnham, Britain’s prime minister-in-waiting; and a look back at the first night of the Proms with the conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Presenter Paul Henley is joined by Jason Horowitz, the New York Times’ Madrid bureau chief, and Michela Wrong, a journalist and author specialising in Africa.
