The government is proposing hot air tumble dryers should be phased out, in favour of the more efficient heat pump style. Some have complained that heat pump dryers are more expensive to buy, the cycles take longer, and they leave your laundry a bit damp. But they're massively cheaper to run, because they use lower temperatures and recycle the warm air. And they're better for the planet because they use less energy. Tony Livesey asked 5 Live listeners for their views.
