What's the answer when it comes to welfare? Andy Burnham, widely toted to become the next Prime Minister, has given his first media interview since announcing his Labour leadership bid. In an interview on LBC, Mr Burnham told Andrew Marr that he would not make "crude cuts to benefit levels" that put people in "even worse poverty". Instead, he would aim to reduce the cost of benefits by providing better support for technical qualifications, and providing work placements for 16-year-olds. So what do you make of Burnham's benefits plan? Do you trust what's in your food? One of the UK's largest doner kebab providers has been fined £500,000 for misleading customers about the content of their products. Kismet Kebabs claimed their kebabs contained up to 87% lamb, but trading standards officers in Swansea found they contained less than 10% sheep. When officers raided the factory in 2021 they instead found pallets of goat meat, skin and fat. In a statement, Kismet Kebabs Ltd said "that the matters in question relate to historical events and do not reflect the standards, systems, management structure, or operational controls that exist within the business today." And finally, global superstar Taylor Swift will reportedly marry NFL player Travis Kelce in a huge event in New York today. Madison Square Garden, an indoor arena in New York, will play host to up to 1,000 guests. Street closure permits were also applied for in the area, but city officials would not confirm by whom. Fans gathered outside the venue yesterday despite extreme 37 degree heat, and a warning from the New York Mayor to stay home. But do you care about celebrity weddings?
