Call You & Yours: "What will the social media ban mean for you and your family?"

You and Yours

Available for over a year

On today's Call You & Yours we want to know your reactions to the government's social media ban for under-16 year olds. "What will the social media ban mean for you and your family?" It's been a big tussle for many years between parents and teenagers: "when can I have a phone?" Some parents are breathing a sigh of relief; their children accessing social media has been a big worry for them. Even if they try to resist their children's calls for a phone, peer pressure from friends who have phones, and lots of our social interactions now being online means children really want one. According to Ofcom 97% of 13-16 year old have a phone now, and many chidren dislike this new law because it'll stop them socialising, and accessing content they're used to. Some are saying they'll use VPN's to get around restrictions. So what impact will the social media ban have on your household? Do you welcome the change or do you think it won't work? You can call us at 11am on 03700 100 444. Or email us youandyours@bbc.co.uk PRESENTER: WINIFRED ROBINSON PRODUCER: LYDIA THOMAS
