This week Cerys welcomes five-time Grammy Award winner Angélique Kidjo to share her favourite Blues records! A prolific creator, she's released a large discography of music which cross-pollinates the West African traditions from her childhood in Benin. She's been singing since she was six years old, is widely acknowledged as one of the most influential people, and was the first Black African artist to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. For her new album Hope!! Angélique has collaborated with Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers and the Soweto Gospel Choir. Produced by BBC Audio for BBC Radio 2.
