Clock Submission Terms
By submitting any photographs of yourself (together with a number between 0 and 9, a day of the week or month of the year, or any years from 2007 onwards) to Radio 1 you agree to grant to the BBC, free of charge, permission to include the photo, if selected, in the Radio 1 Clock (including adapting and modifying it for operational and editorial reasons) which will feature on the Radio 1 website and be made available for Radio 1 users to download onto their websites (subject to the Radio 1 Clock Licence Terms).
Copyright in your photos will remain with you and this permission is not exclusive, so you can continue to use the images in any way you want including allowing others to use them.
In order that the BBC can use your photo, you confirm that it is your own original work, is not defamatory and does not infringe any UK laws, that you have the right to give the BBC permission to use it for the purposes specified above, and that you have the consent of anyone who is identifiable in your photo.
The BBC may need to contact you for administrative or verification purposes in relation to your photo. For full details of when and how we may contact you please see the BBC's Privacy Policy.
Please note that only people over the age of 16 can submit photos to the Radio 1 Clock.
If you do not want to grant the BBC the permission set out above on these terms, please do not submit any photos to the Radio 1 Clock.
Radio 1 Clock License Terms
Summary of Licence Terms:
The Radio 1 Clock is for your personal non-commercial use only.
All title, ownership rights and intellectual property rights in and to the Radio 1 Clock shall remain the property of the BBC or third parties.
You may not edit, alter, adapt or add to the Radio 1 Clock in any way.
The Radio 1 Clock is made available by the BBC on an "e;as is"e; and "e;as available"e; basis and the BBC gives no warranty of any kind in relation to the Radio 1 Clock.
To the maximum extent permitted by law the BBC will not be liable for any loss or damage which you may suffer as a result of or connected to the download or use of the Radio 1 Clock.

Full Radio 1 Clock Licence Terms:
By downloading the Radio 1 Clock and any BBC content, trade marks or photos featuring within it (the "e;Radio 1 Clock"e;) from the British Broadcasting Corporation ("e;BBC"e;) you agree to be bound by the license terms set out below.
Licence
1. Subject to the terms of this License, the BBC grants you a payment free non-exclusive licence to display on your website ("e;Site"e;) the graphics, photos, active links or other source identifiers and other information or materials that are incorporated in the Radio 1 Clock.
2. You agree that the BBC is the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights (including, by way of example, trade marks and copyright) and goodwill in the Radio 1 Clock including any additional rights or goodwill created as a result of your use of the Radio 1 Clock.
Use of the Radio 1 Clock
1. You shall ensure that your use of the Radio 1 Clock shall not be detrimental to the high reputation associated with the BBC and its trade marks. In particular, you may not use the Radio 1 Clock on any Site that is a website that is excluded by the BBC ("e;Excluded Website"e;) (scroll down for the list of Excluded Websites as may be amended by the BBC from time to time).
2. THE RADIO 1 CLOCK IS FOR YOUR PERSONAL NON-COMMERCIAL USE ONLY. You may not charge visitors to your Site to view it or sell or distribute the Radio 1 Clock in any way.
3. You may not alter, edit, adapt or add to the Radio 1 Clock in any way, nor use the Radio 1 Clock in any way or for any other purpose other than set out in this License, nor make use of the name of the BBC, any of its trade marks or any of the photos featuring within the Radio 1 Clock, except under this or any other written licence granted by the BBC.
4. You will not attempt to make any trade mark applications in relation to the Radio 1 Clock.
5. You may not directly or indirectly suggest any endorsement or approval by the BBC of your Site or any non-BBC entity, product or content or any views expressed within your Site.
Warranties & Liabilit
1. You warrant to the BBC that; you have fully complied with, and shall continue to comply fully with, all applicable laws and regulations; and the Site is not an Excluded Website.
2. The Radio 1 Clock is made available by the BBC on an "e;as is"e; and "e;as available"e; basis and the BBC gives no warranty of any kind in relation to the Radio 1 Clock or any photos featuring within it. The BBC disclaims all implied warranties and statutory warranties in relation to the Radio 1 Clock to the maximum extent permitted by law.
3. The BBC has taken all reasonable care to ensure that the Radio 1 Clock contains no errors, viruses or defects, however, the BBC does not warrant that this is the case. You are advised to ensure that you take precautions to protect your computer from virus infection. The BBC will not be liable for any loss or damage which you may suffer as a result of or connected to the use of the Radio 1 Clock.
4. Each provision of this Clause 3 operates separately in itself and survives independently of the others.
Indemnity
1. You hereby agree to indemnify, hold harmless and defend the BBC in respect of all damages, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees and litigation expenses, arising out of or as a result of any breach of these licence terms or otherwise in connection with your use of the Radio 1 Clock.
Terminationy
1. The BBC may restrict, suspend or terminate the Radio 1 Clock or your access to the Radio 1 Clock at any time without liability (for example, if you use the Radio 1 Clock in a way that damages the distinctiveness of any of the BBC's trade marks). You agree to destroy all copies of the Radio 1 Clock upon receiving notice of termination from the BBC.
2. Clauses 3, 4 and 6 shall survive termination of this License.
General
1. Neither party may assign, charge, sublicense or otherwise deal with its rights or obligations in this License in whole or in part to any third party.
2. This License shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
Excluded Websites
The Radio 1 Clock may not be displayed on websites that...
1. contain pornography and sexually explicit content
2. contain text and images likely to offend most people or that discriminate against any specific social group
3. are hate sites (on grounds of race, religion, gender or sexual orientation)
4. contain gratuitous violence
5. condone or encourage unlawful acts
6. breach copyright law or encourages others to do so (e.g. peer-to-peer music sites, illegal downloads of software and games etc)
7. have defamatory content or are in contempt of court.
