Author Nadine Matheson: ‘My novels are a macabre love letter to south-east London’.
This Listed Londoner told Robert how her real life heavily inspires her writing.
Nadine Matheson is one of the UK’s best selling crime authors, specialising in grisly, psychological police thrillers.
Born and raised in Deptford to Grenadian parents, she had a successful 20 year career as a criminal defence solicitor before becoming a full-time author.
Her debut novel, The Jigsaw Man, became an international bestseller. Her latest novel, The Shadow Carver, is the fourth installment in the Inspector Anjelica Henley series, which she has described as a "macabre love letter to south-east London".
Nadine is also the Chair of the Crime Writers Association.
