A BBC Cornwall Sport Special - The Story of Nigel Martyn
In 1987, Nigel Martyn was running out for St Blazey on the Cornish non-league scene.
Just five years later, he was an FA Cup finalist, an England international rooming with Gary Lineker -- and a history-maker as the first £1 million goalkeeper in British football.
So how did this Cornish lad make it to the big-time? Who made it happen; who supported him along the way; and what stands out for him as some of the highlights in his storied career?
Nigel's been speaking to our own Jack Murley for this special look at the career of a Cornish sporting legend.
