Sun Editor defends 'Queen backs Brexit' headline as accurate
The Sun's editor-in-chief said he is "in no doubt" that the newspaper's article on 9 March claiming the Queen backs a UK exit from the EU is accurate.
“There is not just one occasion in which these views were aired and we’ve no doubt the story was accurate,” Tony Gallagher said.
The Sun's claim based on conversations reported to the newspaper have resulted in an official complaint from Buckingham Palace to the press watchdog.
