JJ Chalmers presents live coverage of the closing stages of the men’s road race at the UCI World Championships in Montreal, Canada, being held on an attritional 273km course around the city.

With the champion for the last two years Tadej Pogacar of Slovenia missing after crashing out of the Vuelta a Espana, Great Britain’s recently crowned world cross-country mountain bike champion Tom Pidcock will be among those hoping to claim the title.

But Belgian Olympic champion Remco Evenepoel will start as favourite and Paul Seixas of France also has hopes of earning the rainbow stripes in the French-speaking Province of Quebec.
