Elizabeth Alker introduces a week of highlights from the BBC Proms, featuring some of the festival's standout performances. The BBC Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jakub Hrůša, is joined by pianist Lukáš Vondráček for Rachmaninov's fiendish third piano concerto.

Elsewhere, there's chamber music from this year's Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival on the Baltic Coast: a Mozart string quartet and Schumann's Dichterliebe.
