In Glasgow, Paul and Ryan of the Special Operations Response Team are called to a siege in a flat where a man has barricaded himself inside and is threatening to harm himself. It’s a difficult and emotional situation, and the team must coordinate with the police on scene to try to ensure the best outcome.

Meanwhile, Aberdeen-based teammates Kirsty and Bruce are called to see Rebecca, who has suffered an anaphylactic attack. The crew administer several doses of adrenaline, but Rebecca shows little signs of improvement, prompting a rapid journey on blue lights to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

From the lowlands to the Highlands, the Scottish Air Ambulance Service delivers help to every part of the country. Serving as a paramedic on the King Air fixed-wing aircraft, Stephen travels to the Isle of Lewis. William is visiting the islands as part of a golfing holiday but has fractured his ribs in a fall, necessitating a transfer to the mainland.
