The Countdown

After the failed attack on the French embassy’s convoy, the Americans capture Ainullah, an Isis emir, and discover an imminent plan to bomb Kabul airport. Fazal and Martin work desperately to stop the terrorist cell before it’s too late.

Meanwhile, Gilles attempts to organise a second convoy from the French embassy but faces resistance from both the Americans and the Taliban, who, angered by Mohammad’s evacuation, now refuse to cooperate.

Zahara boards a plane to France, while Baqir, still in Kabul, receives a desperate call from Amina, who is lost in the chaos of Abbey Gate with Nooria. Determined to save his daughter, he decides to stay behind.

Vera and her team, having escaped the Taliban camp, trek on foot toward Kabul with the help of an Afghan whose brother once served under Hassan. Giovanni, meanwhile, continues searching for the lost parents of Haroon, the boy he rescued.
