“I laughed my leg off at John Wayne!”

Sean reveals he finds a humorous side to John Wayne.

“Last night I was bored to tears and I couldn’t find anything at all to watch,” Sean says. “Then, at around 9.30, I discovered a film on BBC4: The Searchers with John Wayne. And… you know my view on John Wayne. But, I put it on. It was over at ten, mercifully. I couldn’t take any more. But was that film meant to be funny? The storyline was serious. I laughed my leg off at John Wayne — especially at the end, when he’s framed in the doorway and everyone walks past him in this cabin. And he’s a big hunk of a man, and he’s in this small doorframe to make him look bigger! I giggled away. I said to myself, maybe I should watch it again!”
