In the Highlands and Islands, Calum explores the caves of Assynt, a Unesco global geopark, before travelling north to Orkney where there is a wealth of archeological underground sites. But it is also an example of the modern use of subterranean sites: oil to service the Scapa Flow naval sites was hidden underground in vast tanks beneath Wee Fea hill. The war theme continues as Calum visits a Cold War underground bunker in Inverness.
Fo chnoc Wee Fea, tha na tancaichean mòra a bha a’ cumail ola ri làrach a’ Chabhlaich Rìoghail ann an Scapa Flow. A’ cumail ri tèama a’ chogaidh, ann an Inbhirnis tadhlaidh Calum air buncair bho àm a’ Chogaidh Fhuair.
