Featuring the classic songs 'You're The One That I Want', 'Hopelessly Devoted To You', 'Summer Nights' and 'Greased Lightnin'' Grease premiered on Broadway in 1972. In 1979 it took over as the longest running show in the history of Broadway.
Grease is probably now more famous for the hit film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, the highest grossing movie musical ever.
The new production of Grease opened in 1993 starring Craig Maclachlan as Danny Zuko, in 1997 Shane Richie took over the role.
