Please tell us about yourself.

I am an artist, photographer and accidental Hull resident.

A man with a long-standing fascination with places which are, in one way or another, at the end of the line.

What's your story about?

My story is about a brief but memorable encounter with the past and present of a disused Methodist chapel in Hull.

I spent several months inside the building making photographs, and the experience captured in those images has stayed with me.

Why did you choose to tell this particular story?

When I make photographs about a place I tend to get very involved with that place, and the former chapel which features in this story is no exception.

When I heard recently that the chapel's current owners were hoping to demolish the place, I wanted to take the opportunity to record the story of my own personal encounter with this singular building.
