Tell Us About Yourself:
I am a forty-year-old mum-of-three. My youngest son Kane had severe disruptive/anti-social behaviour. For thirteen years I struggled to help Kane through his problems. My life was dedicated to Kane.

What’s your story about?
My story tells what life was like bringing up Kane. It tells about Kane’s behaviour, but also the good times we shared together. I hope it will get over to other mums: to never give up on your children. They are all very special in their own right.

Why did you choose to tell this particular story?
In today’s age a lot of people blame parents for the bad behaviour of their children. I told my story hoping to make people aware and understand more about the struggle some parents have bringing up children with challenging behaviour.

Any additional comments?
I hope my story will let other parents realise that you are not alone, as raising kids like Kane can make you feel like a failure and isolated.
