She loves living near the pretty little Dartmoor town of Chagford.

FACTS

Chagford was made a Stannary town in 1305, and had a stannary court for regulating tin mining operations.

A great base for exploring Dartmoor

Often used as an overnight halt for trekkers on The Two Moors Way, Chagford's also a perfect spot for folks wanting to throw away the car keys for a few days. Indeed one could stay in Chagford for a fortnight and set off on a different walk every day.

Surrounded by the National Park there's plenty on offer for the birdwatcher, angler and lovers of nature.

Ancient hut circles, stone rows wild flowers, ponies, skylarks, and unspoilt Moorland are all on the doorstep.

And beautiful Fernworthy Reservoir is just 3 miles away.

Small though the town is, it offers a wide range of accommodation at over 20 addresses, ranging from en-suite Bed and Breakfast at £20 to the absolutely top quality and unique Gidleigh Park Hotel.
