A high point of the episode sees a spot of jazz trumpeting and Sinatra-esque crooning from Jonathan at the usually indie-band oriented ‘Bronze’ nightclub in Sunnydale. In real life, Danny claims no such musical abilities.

"I have absolutely no musical talent of my own!" he confesses. "It's actually quite depressing. I studied voice for about two years with an amazing coach, and I never rose above the level of mediocre.

Danny does recognize the musical talents of another member of the Buffy cast though, having attended some of James (Spike) Marsters’ solo gigs in Los Angeles.

"I don't really socialize with the other cast members much. I think they are all great people, we just lead our own lives. [However,] I wanted to see James play because I'm a big of fan of his - he's a great guy."
