Clean air and low emission zones

Clean Air Zones and Low Emission Zones are popping up across the UK, with at least 12 in place in cities across England and Scotland.

On Friday 17th April, Lawyer Gary Rycroft explained everything you need to know about these schemes, including the benefits, how the charges are enforced, and where to find maps of affected areas.

For Clean Air Zones you can check whether your vehicle meets emission standards, check where the zone boundaries are and even pay a charge using the GOV.UK link below.

All you need is your car registration and to follow the options.

For the Low Emission Zone and the Ultra Low Emission Zone in London you can check whether your vehicle meets emission standards and pay a charge on the TfL website, external.

In Scotland you can check your vehicle registration to make sure it's compliant and find the exact areas covered by the Low Emission Zones via this link, external.
