On Monday 15th June, Nick Stapleton spoke about investment scams from AI-generated adverts. Financial companies must be authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and you can check if a company is legitimate by searching for it on the register by clicking here, external.

Fake reviews and AI-generated adverts that appear to promote legitimate investments. Always verify the firm's details on the FCA Register and be wary of any company that pressures you to act quickly or promises unusually high returns with little or no risk. If a financial company is not regulated by the FCA, there is a significantly higher chance it is a scam company.
